4. Slice the two-layered rectangle on the diagonal (as if you were cutting a sandwich) and take the pieces apart. You now have four triangular pieces.

5. Put the triangles back together as pictured so that you have a new double-layered rectangle of two colors with a diagonal seam.
6. Carefully place this rectangle in the pasta machine and roll it out to form a larger (thinner) rectangle.
7. Fold the sheet in half and roll it through the pasta machine again, starting with the folded edge first.
